1 Therapy for Therapists

Ready to get out of your head?

When the candle is burning from both ends, it’s clear to recognize the stress in our clients. However, we may get blinded by our short fuse, as life throws us layers of challenges.

Working in the counseling profession, vicarious trauma can sneak in with the repetition of hearing the trauma experiences of clients. Then, your personal life begins to unravel.

Worry about the complications of this world are starting to rob you of joy, pleasure and relaxation. Consequently, you begin to grapple with your own mental wellness.

Do you….

  • Notice that your personal & clinical plate are full?

  • Shoulder the heavy burden of others?

  • Desire to receive that same empathic support?

  • Yearn to wrap your brain around a creative approach?

A Creative Approach is Just What You Need

Choosing to support yourself with therapy will help you regain confidence in and outside the therapy room. An awakening and reconnection to yourself will improve connection with your clients and most importantly, your loved ones. You will gain balance and experience a space to practice self-care.

Carving out a dedicated time will help you step out of your clinical self.

Creative therapy with me will focus on a time for holistic healing. You don’t need to be good at art, just open to the act of creating. Art therapy unfolds naturally and will comfortably support you where you most need it now. By image making, you gain the knowledge to know where you end and where your client begins. Your journey will balance this knowing in body, mind and spirit.

Art Therapy for Therapists provides…

  • An empathic ear

  • Holistic space for healing

  • Attuned activities for insight & growth

  • No judgment, come as you are

CREATE your own healing for the healer.

2 Art Therapy Supervision

Ready for registered
art therapist supervision?

Graduate School. Check. Now ATR hours…

You’ve put in some serious commitment to grad school. You’ve traveled immensely to gain clinical supervision hours. Now, it’s time to seal the deal as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR).

You notice it’s still hard work to keep your momentum going. You enjoy the work but now folding in your first post-grad work role is challenging. The imposter syndrome runs real deep. You’ve learned so much, but there’s so much more to know…

Helping You Gain the Skills for Independent Art Therapy Practice

As a Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), I view supervision work through a creative lens. While earning your required ATR hours for the Art Therapy Credentials Board, we will process your client experiences with artmaking for key learnings. You will end the experience not only gaining hours for your credential, but gain valuable information to work independently as a ATR.

Therapy Approach
Our supervision will engage you with the experiential use of art to help clients with trauma and anxiety. I am integrative, pulling from humanistic, contemplative and existential.

My clinical setting experiences include: community art, jail/prison, substance, private practice, military, first responder and national park service. I’m here to help you develop professionally and to ethically practice serving clients in need. I work in most art media with a focus in nature-based art therapy. Read more.

If you are seeking art therapy supervision, contact me to set up a consult. We can chat, I’ll answer all your questions and we can decide if I’m the right fit for what you need.

Accepting Client Referrals
Your client’s needs are paramount. You desire to connect them to a creative approach which encourages action during sessions to process emotions & thoughts and to create their own coping skills. I’m here for your referral needs. If I’m not the right fit, I will provide other referral options.
